Objectives and functions of the National Sports Agency’s Documentation Service

The Documentation Service manages documentary material in a range of formats, acquired at the request of the different CSD (National Sports Agency) Units. Publications edited by the CSD itself over the years form part of this material. Catalogue of current bibliographical material

The documentary material acquired each year by the National Sports Agency’s Documentation Service, or received through exchange or donation, is registered and filed as required for localisation and consultation by users

In relation to the National Sports Agency’s Editorial Production Programme, the Documentation Service has a series of functions, as follows

The Documentation Service informs users about available resources. Post-graduates are also admitted through a range of specific openings. Finally, it provides advice to other centres and countries

The CSD’s Documentation Service has commitments to other countries with bilateral agreements in place, and to other international bodies

Some of the publications edited by the CSD are a direct product of activities carried out by the Documentation Service. Hence its catalogue of publications, catalogue of documents available free of charge, internal catalogues and databases

The CSD’s Documentation Service collaborates in commitments with countries with which they have bilateral agreements, and with other international bodies
