Public Organization Policies

This contains the actions that, with respect to the principle of institutional loyalty and, therefore, in co-ordination with the rest of the Public Administrations, the High Council for Sport carries out with a view to boosting and achieving a harmonized action of all Public Administrations in several principles or action areas, of a technical, legal and research nature allowing the development of the sports infrastructures and amenities sector
  • MAID project

    In 2006 the High Council for Sport (CSD) began the MAID project, an initiative aimed at improving and harmonizing sports facilities in order to control and improve their quality and that of the services provided there.

    Access to the 2005 National Census of Sports Facilities, which is the culmination of a study into sports facility infrastructures in Spain, consisting of sports sites (conventional, unique and activity areas) and additional sites

    The first of the action principles in the CSD policies is aimed at developing tools allowing improvement in safety and accessibility in general of sports facilities

  • Actions in the Research Area

    The implementation of the MAID Project has led to a three-fold action by the CSD: actions in the technical area, in the research area and in the institutional area. This section includes actions affecting the research area, materialized in specific projects and one-off activities conducted by the CSD to increase safety at sports facilities and the technological development of industry in the sector
