The CAR of León receive 7.5 million investment up to 2025
It has advanced the president of the CSD, José Manuel Franco, in his first visit to the high performance centre leonés, he has termed “ reference in spain and europe ”
The agency will receive by 2022 40% more budgets, by adding 400,000 euros for the first executions of recovery funds
León, 20 october 2021.-The president of the supreme council for sports (CSD), José Manuel Franco, has visited this morning by the high performance centre (CAR) de león, where he has announced an increase in investments for the agency for the coming years. In particular, the CAR of León will receive eur 7.5 million by 2025 of funds for the Recovery Plan, Transformation and Resilience associated with the modernization and ecological transformation of sports facilities.
As explained above, the CAR leonés – under the CSD and the only facility of this nature in castile and León- will receive the first 400,000 euros of investment in 2022, as provided for the first draft of the general state budget for the next financial year. A figure that represents an increase of regular budget of the centre of 40 per cent over 2021.
“ we are convinced that things are working well and that it is imperative to continue to retain the CAR of León, a reference centre in spain and Europe. Is it deserves this centre, this city, this community and, of course, the sport of León ”, has assured Franco in his first visit to the centre.
Accompanied by the director of the CAR, Daniel Mateos; the mayor of León, José Antonio Ten; the office, Faustino Sánchez Franco has come of the facilities of the agency, covering an area of more than 25,000 square metres, where almost one hundred top sportswomen train every day in twelve different specialisms. The centre also hosts spaces devoted to technical training, research and promotion of sports, in close collaboration with the university and the public administrations of Leon.
Among athletes who has been able to welcome the president of the CSD are the olympic weight launch Belén Toimil and Carlos Tobalina, areas in which the CAR of León stresses at the national level. Has also shared a few minutes with Constantino Iglesias, president of the royal Spanish Federation of Powerlifting (RFEH), and the baking of young people who train halteras since september, the day in which it has been introduced the programme of canoe powerlifting state.
The secretary of state for sports has also reminded us the “ historic ” figure of eur 315 million this year will be allocated to the CSD in the general state budget, 25% more than the previous year, and a “ resounding bet sport ” by the government.
