The council of ministers adopted the distribution of 35 million between the CC.AA. for the modernization of sporting facilities and encouraging physical exercise

• The Executive ratifies the proposal of territorial distribution and allocation of eur 26 million for the transition ecological sports infrastructure and 9 million for a plan to promote physical activity and sport for health through digital tools
• With these new investments, have already territorializado 84 billion from the CC.AA. and autonomous cities, almost a total of 30% of funds intended for sport recovery

Madrid, 3 may 2022.-The council of ministers, at the request of the ministry of culture and sport, adopted at its meeting today the proposal of territorial distribution and the criteria of sharing between the autonomous communities and cities of Ceuta and Melilla of a new game of 35 million euros in 2002, in pillar 26 “ pattern of development of Sport ” recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience.

Of this amount, eur 26 million will be targeted at the ecological transition of sporting facilities, in order to modernize the infrastructure of the centres of sport and the network of existing Centres in the CC.AA., adapting them to sustainability criteria and energetic optimization. Together with 49 million euros already distributed during 2021 to the same end, a total of 75 million euros of investment in two years, as adopted at the last conference of the Sport Sector.

Moreover, the other eur 9 million out of the appropriation approved by the council of ministers will be earmarked for the implementation of a Plan of limitation of activity and exercise. The aim of this investment is CC.AA. that develop and implement a plan for promoting physical activity and sport for health (AFBS) through digital tools aimed at improving the accessibility and effectiveness of the sport systems and health, in addition to intensifying the training of professionals involved. Given its link between sport, health and technology, this investment is in line with the digitalization of axis Component 26.

Once the council of ministers has approved the agreement authorizing the proposal of territorial distribution and the criteria of distribution, the next step will be submitted to the next review conference of the Sport Sector.

It has already been approved the allocation of eur 84 million

With new investments belonging to the object of digitization of sport and modernization of the sports facilities, to date in 2022 have already been territorializado between the autonomous communities and cities of Ceuta and Melilla a total of eur 84 million.

Amounted to almost 30% of the $300 million Plan aimed at promoting the Sector, and Sport which is circulated in three directions: the digitization Plan (75 million), the Ecological Transition Plan (146 million) and the Social Plan of sport ($77 million).
