This call for grants will provide the Spanish federations with the necessary resources to promote the excellence of athletes through Special Plans, which complement the sports programs and guarantee a better preparation at the beginning of the cycle for Los Angeles 2028.
Madrid, June 11, 2025.- The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published this Wednesday the resolution of the Presidency of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) calling for aid, worth 7,000,000 euros, aimed at the Spanish sports federations for the development of their Special Plans in 2025.
In this first post-Olympic year, at the beginning of the path towards the Los Angeles Games 2028, the CSD announces this line of aid, worth 7 million, with the main objective of contributing to the financing of the activities that complement the sports projects of the national federations throughout this year.
Thus, federations with tests included in the Los Angeles 2028 program will be able to receive between 200,000 and 700,000 euros, aimed at improving the preparation of sportsmen and women who participate in international competitions representing our country.
For their part, the untested sports federations included in the Olympic and Paralympic program that have more than 2,500 licenses will be able to receive up to 50,000 euros for the development of their Special Plans.
Through this call for applications, grants to sportspeople, travel, accommodation, food or registration derived from concentrations, international competitions and other similar actions, the rental of equipment and facilities, insurance, medical tests and assessments of training, medical, physiotherapeutic or psychological control, professional services or salaries of personnel supporting training or competition, aid to trainers, as well as purchases of fungible material or non-inventariable competition equipment will be eligible.
"This call reinforces the CSD's commitment to federated sport at a key point in the cycle towards Los Angeles 2028. It is in this first post-Olympic year that the foundations for the best preparation of Spanish athletes begin to be built. In this sense, these 7 million euros will provide the national sports federations with the necessary resources to promote the excellence of our athletes through Special Plans that guarantee their best training and maximum performance”, said the president of the CSD, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes.
These grants may be requested through the CSD Electronic Headquarters between 12 June and 2 July 2025.
The seven million euros allocated to this call for aid comes from 1% of the revenue generated by the commercialization of the rights of exploitation of audiovisual contents of professional football competitions.
According to the provisions of article 6 of Royal Decree-Law 5/2015, professional football clubs are obliged to allocate 1% of this income to the Higher Sports Council, which in this way reinvests them in the financing of the Special Plans of the Spanish sports federations in 2025.
