“Lilí Álvarez” Awards

The Institute of Women and the Superior Sports Council annually present the “LILI ÁLVAREZ” Awards, which recognize the journalistic works that have best contributed to the dissemination and defense of equality between women and men in the sports field and to make female sport visible in Spain.

Deadline for submission of works for the eighth edition: from 4 to 23 June 2025

EIGHTH EDITION OF THE LILI ALVAREZ AWARDS, 2025

Four categories are established, according to the format of the work, broadcast both in conventional medias - press, radio and television - at the state or regional level, as well as in digital media or other Internet sites (blogs, social networks, websites, etc.), being able to be pieces of any extension:

  • Journalistic works of text.
  • Graphic journalistic works.
  • Journalistic works of radio.
  • Audiovisual journalistic works.

The works may be of any journalistic genre (news, report, chronicle, interview, etc.) and of individual or collective authorship. In the latter case, the candidacy must be submitted jointly or with the authorization of each co-author.

The prize money is 5,000 euros for each of the categories, including the corresponding taxes according to the current legislation.
