Federations and international associations
International sports federations were non-governmental organizations recognized by the international olympic committee (IOC) to manage one or more sports at the global level. Are responsible for establishing and enforcing the rules concerning the practice of their respective sports, to be charged with monitoring their development throughout the world in accordance with the olympic charter and the World Anti-Doping Code. Among its main functions are the enactment of regulations governing the sports practice, the establishment of timetables for sporting or the approval of competitions or modalities.
