Sport helps to prevent breast cancer and gynaecological

Madrid, 07 april 2022.The high council of sports (CSD) today has hosted the presentation of the programme “ women, sport, Cáncer ” aimed at the prevention of breast cancer and gynaecological through sports and the visit of a specialist developed by the Association Ovary Hereditary Breast (AMOH) with the support of the spanish society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), the Spanish Group Foundation for research in Cáncer breast cancer (GEICAM), the united states pharmaceutical company GSK COLEF, the council and the CSD through its programme “ Universe Women II ”.
The day, which have held round tables to analyse and discuss the influence of prevention in the fight against these types of cancer in women, has been opened by the assistant director-general, Mujer and sport, Bárbara Fuertes, who has highlighted the importance of such projects to “ improve the lives of women ” through sports.
For this reason, it has ensured that such initiatives are supported by CSD for “ respect ” and “ assist in increasing awareness to cancer, recognizing the value of sport as an element of prevention, and improving the quality of life of women ”.
During the act have also been involved Dr Miguel A. Segui, coordinator of the working group “ exercise and cancer ” of SEOM, and chief of service of oncology Hospital Parc Taulí; Marisa Cots, the president of the AMOH; María Alonso Dueñas, the coordinator of the programme of physical exercise in the oncology GEICAM; Dra. Eva Ciruelos SOLTI, vice-president and coordinator of the unit of breast cancer of the Hospital 12 october and coordinator of the unity of mammary pathology hospitals HM in Madrid; dr. Rodrigo Sánchez-bayona unity breast cancer medical oncology Hospital 12 october; Manuela Doménech, of the company GSK; Reyes Calzada, director of medical oncology Novartis; Cristina Guardiola, marketing and sales manager in Biomedical Diagnostic Center of Hospital clínic of Barcelona; Marisa Pérez, lawyer and president of the commission On women and Sport of the royal Spanish Federation of Volleyball (RFEVB); Cristina Fernández, customer value projects for oncology in GSK; and Josefina Lloret, Novartis.
Content of the agenda
The programme Mujer-deporte-cáncer arises as a result of the concerns of public and private entities, both in the field of health and social and sports, is addressed to all women of the spanish society and has two fundamental objectives: to motivate the exercise of a regular basis and provide incentives to control visit gynaecologists.
For that reason, has eight strategic lines of action: the dissemination of the message; the momentum of professional meetings of oncology and sport; the corporate presence on sporting events, social, cultural rights; the launching of acorporative website; presentations direct face-to-face and online; collaboration in actions that promote physical activity; collaboration in actions giving rise to the visit gynaecologists; and generation of content you transmit the values of the agenda.
It can adopt any entity whose social object is aligned with the values of Mujer-deporte-cáncer as sports federations (national or regional administrationss) of all disciplines, sports clubs, associations or bodies relating to sport, women's associations, parent-teacher associations, schools, universities and institutes, etc.
They may also be part of it medium and large companies, public and private sectors, of sharing the values of the programme in order to promote sport and health among their employees.
