The board of the CSD qualifies as a professional ASOBAL league handball
Thus becomes the fourth state professional league, after the first and second division of football, cpf basketball court and the most recent Female Professional League football matches.
Madrid, 7 julio2022.The Board Of Directors of the supreme council for sports (CSD) voted at midday the professionalization of ASOBAL league of the royal spanish federation of handball (RFEBM), through the qualification of all its competitions such as records of the professional and State level.
With this decision of the governing body of the CSD, ASOBAL becomes the first professional league of handball in spain and the fourth state professional league, after the first and second male soccer League, the CPF basketball court and the recent Female Professional League football matches.
The professionalization of ASOBAL from next season occurs after the june 9 all their clubs adopted unanimously at an extraordinary general assembly the new status category, with the blessing of the CSD.
Founded in 1958 with the name of honour division changed nickname in 1990 by the present one, ASOBAL league is currently composed of sixteen teams. “ This is a new milestone for our sport.
The professionalization strengthening the economy of the clubs to impact positively on the preparation of the players, and it will do that we obtain better results in competitions, international ”, has explained to the secretary of State for sport, josé María Franco.
In addition to the classification as a professional in ASOBAL league, lacomisión Directive of the CSD has approved the amendment of laws of the football federations, billiards, hockey and canoeing and ACB-de which has also approved the amendment of the rules of procedure of Competiciones-; the modification of the disciplinary code and the General Regulations of the royal spanish football Federation (DVOBOJU) and the registration of the Spanish sports association (ADESP) in the register of Sports Associations of the CSD, among other points of the agenda.
The board of the CSD has among its skill for authorizing and revoke it constitution of the spanish sports federations; adopt definitively their statutes and regulations, of the professional leagues and clubs; appointing members of the administrative Tribunal of sport; to recognize the existence of a sport for the purposes of laLey of sport; or reviewing official competitions and professional.
The Commission gathered today have shaped the José Manuel Franco as president; the director-general of sports, Albert Soler, as vice-president; and the assistant director-general for Legal Regime of sport, Fernando meunier, as secretary.
