The council of ministers adopted a multiannual budget for the federations of 187 million
- The aim is to provide greater certainty to federations and ensure the continuity of sports programmes for Paris 2024 and most important international competitions
- The subvention was taken by show of hands, the more they receive the federations, will amount to over eur 57.8 million both this year and in the next two, with a total of 173 million
- The Executive has also adopted aids 16 million, from 1 per cent of the media rights of football, which will be devoted to social protection of the high-level and the maintenance of the fellowship ADO
Madrid, 31 of may of 2022. The council of ministers has today adopted a proposal from the minister of culture and sport, Miquel Iceta, the agreement authorizes the high council of sports (CSD) the convening of a new system of aid to the sports federations multi 186.710.250 amounting to €2022, 2023 and 2024, with a view to ensuring its economic stability and continuity of their sports programmes throughout the olympic and paralympic movements, which will culminate in paris 2024.
In this way, with a budget that would be insured until 2024 regardless of the economic cycle, the government gives the FFDDEE the ability to work with more certainty about the resources they are, which can help to plan and execute their budgets with greater efficiency and effectiveness in the coming years, and prepare for female sports and more effective.
The law of sport considers sport of high level of interest to the state as an essential factor of development, promotion of sports basic sport and its representative function of España in evidence or official competitions. A representative function which is reflected particularly in appointments as the olympic and paralympic games and other competitions that do not have annual periodización and require a sports planning and early enough.
For this reason, the bulk of subsidies - a total of 173.660.250 57.8 million euros per year by 2022, 2023 and 2024- will go to support and subsidize programmes and sports federations for the spanish athletes and achieve the best possible sports results in competitions over the world there are golf, europe and the olympic and paralympic games. These amounts have been channelled through the grant commonly referred to as ‘ normal ’.
The objective: to achieve equal or surpass the medallero obtained by España in Barcelona in 1992, preferably in the next Games of Paris. In addition, and apart from this aid, the multi-year economic processing for the next three years includes the rest of the CSD subsidies, for the national programme canoe Promoción Deportiva sports and in the amount of $6.75 million euros; 4.5 million euros for expenditures in Specialized Centres for high-performance and CAR de león; 1.5 million for sports facilities and equipment in specialized centres of High Performance; and 300,000 euros to promote the presence of España in the international federations.
Aid to Federations for the social protection of sportsmen and women
Another point adopted today by the council of ministers is the agreement authorizes the CSD the convening of 2022 in the amount of aid for social protection of the high-level (DAN) and support to the spanish athletes participating in international competitions in the amount of eur 16 million.
This amount from the income generated by royalties of audiovisual content of the professional football competitions, pursuant to Royal Decreto-ley 5/25, 30 april, which stipulates that clubs and entities involved in the national championship League in First and Second Division onto the CSD to a full 1 per cent of their income.
Of the 16 million budgeted, 8 million will be targeted to cover the fellowship olympic preparation ADO to 2022 (last year, the executive covered financially nearly 80 per cent of the Plan); 4 million to athletes participating in international competitions with the aim of improving performance in the next OLYMPIC GAMES and JJPP; 1 million in aid to athletes by sports results; and 3 million for Social security contributions paid ARE sportsmen.
