Madrid, October 13, 2025.- The Higher Sports Council (CSD) has called for grants of 2.6 million euros aimed at collective sports clubs that are included in the programs of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and that participate in the highest category of their modality in non-professional leagues or qualified as professionals in the last five years.
These grants, granted on a competitive basis through the Spanish sports federations, are part of the strategy of preparation for the Summer Olympic Games of Los Angeles 2028 and Winter Games of Milan-Cortina 2026 and French Alps 2030.
With them, the CSD will contribute to the coverage of the expenses derived from the improvement of the working conditions of the athletes, the technical structures of the clubs, arbitration, travel and inscriptions in official competitions of the highest category, as well as the rental of high-performance facilities and technological supports for the analysis of the performance of the athletes, among others.
“Clubs play an essential role in the Spanish sports ecosystem,” said CSD President José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes. “Both in terms of the care and protection of athletes, as well as the achievement of results in the Olympic and Paralympic Games and in international competitions of the highest level. Therefore, this aid not only represents support for the development of its activity, but also a recognition of its essential contribution to the success and professionalization of sport in our country,” he said.
