The CSD calls for aid worth 6.9 million for the promotion of sports broadcasts and technology applied to health in sport

EUR 3.9 million from European funds will go towards research projects in science and technology applied to health beneficial physical activity (AFBS) and sports medicine

Allocates 3 million to the Sports Federations for the production of audiovisual sports content and broadcasts that visit their activities during 2022

Madrid, September 8, 2022. The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published today Thursday the calls for two new grants from the Higher Sports Council (CSD), with the aim of continuing to promote and modernize the wide ecosystem of Spanish sport.

On the one hand, the CSD calls for grants worth 3.9 million euros for research projects in science and technology applied to physical activity for health (AFBS) and sports medicine. The aim is to stimulate the university environment, public R+D+i, technological centers and private non-profit entities linked to science, technology, research and innovation in the field of physical activity and health.

These grants, under the Digitalization Plan of the Sports Sector - included in Component 26 ‘Promotion of the Sports Sector’ of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan - will cover until 30 September 2023 the expenses of projects such as computer applications for the practice of sports, health monitoring during physical exercise, smart sportswear, prevention and recovery of injuries, telemedicine or accessibility to sports facilities, among others. The interested entities have as of today fifteen working days to submit their applications.

On the other hand, the BOE also includes today the call for grants worth 3 million euros to Spanish Sports Federations to support the production of broadcasts and audiovisual content that promote and disseminate their activities for the year 2022.

These grants, from the General State Budgets, may be requested within ten working days from today. It must be done electronically through the Electronic Headquarters of the Higher Sports Council (https://sede.csd.gob.es/) and accompanied by the documents and annexes available in the reference call (https://bit.ly/3RO8ZCU).
