The CSD calls for a grant, worth 550,000 euros, for the organization of the University Spanish Championships

The grants, worth 550,000 euros, are aimed at covering the expenses derived from the organization in 2025 of the final phase of the Spanish University Championships (CEU).

Madrid, 5 June 2025.- The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published this Thursday the resolution of the Presidency of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) calling for grants to cover the expenses derived from the organization of University Spanish Championships (CEU) during the year 2025.
The amount of aid amounts to EUR 550,000, with a maximum of EUR 480,000 going to public universities and EUR 70,000 to private universities. The deadline for submitting these applications will remain open until 5 July and the procedure must be carried out electronically, through the CSD Electronic Headquarters.
The promotion of university sport
For the promotion of university sport, the CSD calls for different grants each year, among which this line stands out for the organization of the University Spanish Championships. The CSD also assists public and private universities to cover the costs of performing works in sports facilities and renovating sports equipment for the organization of international competitions.
In addition, the CSD contributes to the participation, transfer and equipment of the Spanish teams competing in the World University Winter and Summer Games and other activities at the international level. In this way, the Government of Spain promotes the dual career, guarantees the integral development of athletes, contributes to retain sports talent and create a basis for the high level, promoting sports culture and strengthening the international projection of Spain.
