The CSD drives the digitization of sports federations through european funds

Madrid, 26 june 2023.The official gazette (BOE) published today by the order establishes regulatory basis for the granting of grants and subsidies of the supreme council for sports (CSD) to spanish sports federations for projects and actions to digitize the sports sector.
This assistance, funded under the recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience, their principal aim the development of measures that contribute to the improvement of sport by technology digitization and dissemination to the sector adapt to the current socio-economic realities.
In this Plan of Digitization circumscribes a series of measures towards the modernization and digitization of spanish sports federations to optimize the management and improve living conditions and the results of athletes.
His main objective is the modernization of the management of the ordinary activity and economic entities, to improve the elements of public control; the analysis of data resulting from the sports practice for future planning of projects or the momentum of the digitization of public sports medicine, among others.
The actions planned in the order of bases of support issued today are a priority element for achieving these objectives, and it will provide a major transfer of funds to the sports federations In spain.
Eligible projects within the framework of this order should be included in any of the following areas:
a. Digitization and modernizing procedures económico-administrativos management of sports federations In spain.
(b. Digitization of training processes (planning, implementation, recovery and competition) and identification of talent.
c. Research and development of new digital tools to increase the athletic performance.
d. Digitization and innovation of the sports sector.
e. Innovación y digitalización en materia de accesibilidad e inclusión en el deporte.
f. Innovation and digitalizing on sports tourism.
g. Innovation and digitalizing on sport. Innovation and sustainable digitization of the sports sector in rural settings.
The digitization of the sports sector is one of the pillars of the sector of sport, including in the recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience driven by the government and which places a sport as a lever traction with capacity for transformation of the economic and social fabric.

CSD + i, an innovative initiative
Such actions fall in the initiative CSD + i, advocated by the high council of sports to lead the transformation of the sport industry. This is achieved through a hub of innovation, público-privada among all actors of our sector, including companies, startups, business talents, public administration, sports bodies and other industries.
The main objective is to revitalize this diverse ecosystem and, consequently, improve connectividad among the different actors involved, to increase the competitiveness of spanish sport, impacting in different sectors of the economy and society, anticipate trends related to undertake high-yield investment in innovation and artificial intelligence, and test pilot projects, without forgetting the formation of the professionals in the field of sport through educational plans and platforms allowing digital adopt new habits and improving skills.
CSD + i will contribute to the transformation of the high performance centres, with a platform for interaction with a datalake a CRM and with the aim of consolidating, connect and create relationships between the actors of spanish sport.
