The CSD offered its support to the communities to address the new normality in sport

Madrid, 18 june 2020.Colaboración, dialogue and exchange of experiences in the field of sports management, are the assumptions on which based its relations the high council of sports (CSD) and the autonomous communities from april 22, at which time lapses on alert and The Latter recovered much of the competences in the field of sport that, during the toughest stage of the pandemic, has held the Government.



The ministry of culture and sport, through CSD, today, within a telematic meeting chaired by the new director-general for sport, joaquín de arístegui, with those responsible for sports of the communities, an informal coordination mechanism interterritorial reinforced to meet weekly for the period of new normality.



In that area, and always under the premise that communities who will adopt its own policy frameworks, the council for sports will render active support and will provide the experience accumulated over the months of incidence of Covid-19.



It should be recalled that, today, and thanks to the work of the task force on the momentum of sport (IDWG), almost all sports disciplines are back in the process of training in our country, with football and basketball already in full competition.



The CSD will also welcome all proposals and initiatives that departing from the territories and that somehow we can also be of benefit to the area of sports in which the executive retains the ability, as in regulating professional competitions or the national championships.
