Madrid, 15 june 2020.The high council of sports (CSD) has created, in collaboration with the ministries of foreign affairs and cooperation, health and Interior, a contact group to meet the spanish athletes who, throughout the process of de-escalation and the ‘ new normality ’, seek to go abroad or returning from third countries to participate in tournaments that are going to resume in summer both at home and abroad.

It should be recalled that last week were resumed LaLiga Santander competitions and LaLiga SmartBank football and that this wednesday the basketball League Endesa. In Addition, it will take place from the month of july, several important international car and motorcycle races in Spain.

The contact group has a technical nature and, as with the group of Athletes or the panel of Tourism and sport, is part of the work of the task force on the momentum of sport (IDWG) launched by the ministry of culture and sport through the council last april to address the first round of training; and secondly, of the championships.

The objective of the group, which will most of the work of a telematics, will be to identify concrete problems in the future displacement of athletes taking into account the restrictions on mobility imposed COVID-19 pandemic at the international level; and disparity in health measures applied in different parts of the world.
