Franco: “ the CSD will put into the hands of the communities eur 48 million this year to modernize sports facilities ”
Madrid, 13 july 2021.-The high council of sports (CSD) today welcomed the meeting of the sectoral commission of sport with the assistance of the directors and directors of the sports sector of all the autonomous governments, and in which the secretary of State for sport, josé Manuel Franco, has ensured the concession in 2021 a budget of eur 48 million to the autonomous communities to modernize its sports facilities.
The meeting took as the focal point in the submission of the strategic lines of action in the field of sport linked to the recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience of the economy in Spain financed with european funds. The president of the CSD has broken down three investments that will be guided by this project: the Digitalization of the sport sector (75.2 mill.), the Ecological transition plan of sports facilities (146,5 mill.) and the Social plan of the Sport Sector (77.8 mill.).
It will be within the Ecological transition plan of sports facilities where there will be the territorialisation of european funds. Franco has detailed that “ these eur 48 million that will autonomous hands this year will modernize sports facilities through the digitization, accessibility and efficiency ”. More than 50 centres and canoe high performance throughout spain which it will benefit from the amount.

Franco has defined as the “ axis priority programme of action of the government ”, endorsed by europe, the work to achieve “ real equality between men and women, with the definitive thrust to women's sport, improving the visibility of women in sports, the momentum of female role also in management and direction of entities and the improvement of working conditions for female sports ”.
