The high council of sports accelerates the granting of aid to the sports federations

Starts the procedure for states to receive a total of €50.055.500

Madrid, 06 march 2020. The high council of sports (CSD) has agreed today the start of the procedure for granting aid to the sports federations In Spain from the exercise of 2020.

The president of the CSD and secretary of State for sport, Irene Lozano, pointed out that the extension of the budgets did not facilitate the process, but “ it has made the effort to push it in record time, a little more than a month ”. “ We have responded to the concern among states in an olympic year like this fundamental are receiving such aid ”, has added.

The total amount of this aid amounts to €50.055.500, of whom 1.302.205 will be to athletes on the results obtained during competitions involving. Moreover, total €100,000 would be devoted to the headquarters of the international federations in Spain and the chairpersons or members of the executive committees of international sports federations.

The agreement reached today will be transferred to the Under-Secretary of the ministry of culture and sports so that, in turn, was present at the next meeting of the General committee of secretaries of state and under-secretaries, who shall decide to refer it to the council of ministers for approval at a future meeting.
