Irene Lozano offers a platform of associations of athletes sit in the idwg
Madrid, 24 april 2020.The secretary of State for sport and president of the CSD, Irene Lozano, have met today with the representatives of various associations of athletes from various disciplines, covered under the beijing platform for associations of athletes, seeking their views and concerns at the situation in the world of sport as a result of the health crisis COVID-19. The president of the Council has given to this platform to be able to share the work of the task force to promote Sport (IDWG), by either the major group with one of their representatives; or in the working group with a number of Athletes.
The meeting, held from 11.30 a.m., and in which they have also been present, the director General de Deportes, Mariano Soriano, and the adviser to the CSD and sportsman Jennifer Pareja, has served to bring the different viewpoints of the participants with regard to the impact which the pandemic is having to practice sports professionals of different sports.
The meeting, which has taken place via telematics, Diego Carrera have attended, from the spanish association of Athletic Launched (EEA); Antonio García-plata, of the association of football players Room (AJFS); Natalia Orive, of the association of Football players (AJFSF); Alfonso Reyes, of the association of Professional Baloncestistas (ABP); Lucila Pascua, of the association of basketball Players (AJUB); José Rodríguez, of the association of Professional Cyclists (ACP); Claudio Gómez, of the association of handball players (AJBM); Paloma Zancajo, of the association of handball Players (AMBM); David Pastor, of the association of Golf players (PGAE); Manuel Tello, of the association of Spanish Footballers (ERA); Fe Robles, women's committee of the association of Spanish Footballers (ERA); and Sergio Figueroa, of the association of players and volleyball Players (AJJV).
This meeting should have been held for more than a month, on 19 march, but was delayed by the entry into force of the decree of alert and subsequent detention of citizens.
