Madrid, August 10, 2023. The Higher Sports Council (CSD) publishes this Thursday the fifth episode of the podcast ‘Team Spain’, focused on the CSD+i initiative, with which the institution is leading for a few months the digital transformation of the sports sector.
This project, which has been launched thanks to the impetus of the European Funds and which has an investment of EUR 59 million, is structured in four axes: a trend radar, the Transformation Office, training and knowledge, and the innovation factory. Around all of them are articulated the actions that are being implemented and that aim to achieve the digital transformation of the sports sector in our country.
Throughout this episode of the podcast are some people who are actively participating in its implementation, such as the deputy assistant director of High Competition, Conchi Bellorín; the president of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, Raúl Chapado; the president of the Triathlon Federation, José Hidalgo; or the CEO of the company Wiemspro, Carlos Mayor,who works in different innovation projects.
Alejandra Quereda and Antonio Serrano, leading coaches in the CAR of Madrid
Two of the coaches who work in the High Performance Center (CAR) of Madrid, Alejandra Quereda and Antonio Serrano, are also protagonists of this episode.In the coming weeks they will face, respectively, the World Championships of artistic gymnastics in Valencia and athletics in Budapest.
Both reveal what their daily life is like in the CAR, the changes that have taken place since they came to it as athletes, as well as the latest innovations that are being implemented in the facilities in which they train day by day.
In addition, in “El Test” both make known their musical preferences and their favorite city, among other curiosities.
In the closing section, ‘The Last Minute’, it is explained what a sport like boccia consists of and how through it many people with disabilities have found a way to integrate socially.
Podcast ‘Team Spain’
The aim of this podcast is to value sportsmen, coaches, physiotherapists, psychologists, as well as the other figures that are part of the Spanish sports system. The name comes from the aid programs ‘Team Spain Elite’ and ‘Team Spain Strategic Interest’, which the CSD implemented last year, in order to promote the conditions of preparation of Olympic, Paralympic and key specialties to promote the projection of Spanish sport in the world.These programmes are endowed with 48 million euros in total for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024.
