Open day of the center of High performance of Madrid of CSD
- The act of opening has been submitted by Carolina Marín and journalist Ainhoa Arbizu and has enjoyed the participation of athletes as Carlos Stick, Joanne Tortosa, Sandra Sánchez, Damián Quintero, Albadalejo Property, Gerard Descarrega or Jairo Ruíz, among others
- The president of CSD, María José Free, has emphasized the importance of academic training for our athletes and sports value “ as a means of fun for boys and girls ”
- The athlete Joanne Spain has received special recognition for his sporting career and has been paid an emotional tribute to the figure of the golfer Celia Barquín, internal during 2 years in the CAR of Madrid, and sportsmen who have died recently
- The day, framed within the celebration of the week Europa sport, has also served to inaugurate the academic year of the institute and Nice Gasset and honoring the best athletes CAR of Madrid last season and the best athletes in school
- The act of opening has concluded with the words of the director general of sports of CSD, Marian Soriano Lacambra, who has encouraged the smallest to do sports and to complete their studies
Madrid, 29 September 2018.The High Council of sports has held throughout the day an open day in the centre of High performance of Madrid with the aim to show the work closely who develop athletes in one of the centres of reference for the high-level training in spain.
During the day all attendees have had the opportunity to enjoy different activities and sports exhibitions and share experiences with noticeable sportsmen Spaniards.
Moreover, sportsmen residents have been responsible for providing different activities for the youngest with the objective of raising awareness about the importance of combining sports and study.
Have participated in this initiative, among others, badminton player Carolina Marín; the piragüista Carlos Stick; Joanne taekwondista Tortosa; the Bbs karatekas Sánchez and Damián Quintero; athletes Albadalejo Property and Gerard Descarrega; or the triathlete Jairo Ruíz.
Fencing, badminton, taekwondo, boxing, golf, archery, judo, sports for the blind, artistic gymnastics and rhythmic and table tennis have been disciplines protagonists of the different master classes given by athletes residing in the center.
In the act of opening, submitted by Carolina Marín and Ainhoa Arbizu, the president of CSD, María José Free, has led some words to families to emphasize the importance of academic training of our athletes and sports value as a means of fun and learning.
“ to become a great champion or a great champion must prepare much exercising and learn many things in the school. Who knows, maybe one day ye yourselves the great athletes who share a day so pretty like this with other children. If it is your dream, sure that it will be. ”
Tribute to the best athletes
This day, embedded within the European Week of sport, has also served to pay homage to all athletes who have distinguished for their international results in season 2017 / 2018.
Likewise, the day has served as the inaugural act of the new course in the Public Institute and Nice Gasset, integrated in the CAR of Madrid, and has been awarded to the best athletes in school age by its results athletic and academic during the course past.
The Spanish athlete Joanne Spain has received a special recognition for his career in a year in which has announced its withdrawal from the high competition. Furthermore, the High Council of sports paid an emotional tribute to the figure of the young golfer Celia Barquín, resident in the CAR of Madrid for 2 years, and the rest of recently deceased athletes.
The open day of the CAR of Madrid also has enjoyed the participation of the general manager of sports of CSD, Marian Soriano, which has wanted to highlight the role played by the high performance Centres in the preparation and training of our athletes. Soriano has encouraged the smallest to practise sport and to complete their studies.
“ This kind of days serve to learn about the CAR of Madrid and conditions of sports performance through its most prominent athletes to show how it works and how it trains in the centres of maximum excellence of sport ”, has assured.
