Pilar Alegría accompanies the set of rhythmic gymnastics at the beginning of its preparation for the World Cup
Madrid, June 26, 2025.- The Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Pilar Alegría, accompanied on Thursday the Spanish group of rhythmic gymnastics in their training at the High Performance Center of Madrid, where the current European champions are already preparing their next great objective, the World Championship to be held in Rio de Janeiro in August.
Pilar Alegría personally congratulated Inés Bergua, Andrea Corral, Marina Cortelles, Andrea Fernández, Lucía Muñoz and Salma Solaun, all of them winners of three gold medals in Tallinn (Estonia). In addition, he encouraged them in the face of these weeks of intense preparation for the great competition of the year.
Under the direction of the coach Alejandra Quereda and the coach Ana María Pelaz, the rhythmic gymnastics team is already working towards the August World Cup.
In Rio de Janeiro, the Spanish rhythmic gymnastics team will be present as the current European champion, having won the full competition as well as having mastered the finals of five tapes and the mixed exercise – three balls and two rings.
