Raúl Entrerríos joins the Youth Sports Foundation of the Superior Sports Council as project coordinator

Double Olympic medallist, world and European champion, has an extensive track record in sports management

Madrid, January 30, 2026.- Raúl Entrerríos, double Olympic medalist and world and European handball champion, has joined the Youth Sports Foundation of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) as project coordinator of the entity, a position from which he will assume the responsibility of creating, developing, executing and supervising the programs and activities of the entity.

Its work will focus mainly on events of exceptional public interest and priority patronage activities, two key instruments for attracting support from private entities, with special attention to the Spain Compete program, whose objective is to promote the projection of Spanish SMEs through sport and strengthen the role of entrepreneurship as a growth engine associated with sports values.

Raul Entrerrío, who has been an absolute international with the Spanish handball team on 294 occasions, has achieved two Olympic bronzes, in the Beijing 2008 and Tokyo 2020 Games, in addition to a World Championship and two European Championships. In addition, it has an extensive track record in sports management.

He graduated in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and holds an MBA in Sports Management, as well as certifications in High Digital Performance and High Performance Psychology.

Throughout his professional career, Raúl Entrerríos has held responsible roles as a national youth coach, as a formative manager for FC Barcelona and as a member of the Olympic Commission 365 of the Spanish Olympic Committee.

“His leadership, his deep knowledge and his commitment to the values that Spanish sport represents will be a strategic impulse for the Fundación Deportes Joven, an entity that celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this year and that depends on the Superior Sports Council,” said José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, president of the CSD.

Raúl Entrerrío has accompanied José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes this Friday in an institutional meeting with the NGO Kelele África. In this meeting, possible lines of collaboration of this association with the Young Sport Foundation in projects linked to sport, international cooperation and social impact have been addressed.

With the incorporation of Raúl Entrerríos, the Superior Sports Council reinforces its commitment to integrate profiles of prestige and proven experience with the objective of continuing to promote sport as a motor of social, economic and value development.
