Rodríguez Uribes meets with local authorities of Castilla La Mancha – to follow up investment in sport

• The president of the supreme council for sports (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, and the government delegate in Castilla-La Stain, Milagros Tolón, have shared with local authorities in the region the main lines of action and investment in sport by the government of Spain in this community of more than 3.7 million euros from 2021
• The modernization, digitization and promotion of sports in rural areas and the momentum of sustainable tourism are the objectives of investments from the funds of the recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience, amounting to €2.7 million

Toledo, 23 september 2024.-The government of Spain has allocated to the momentum of sport in castile-La Mancha over 3.7 million euros from 2021 through different investments that the president of the supreme council for sports (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, has made this monday during a visit to Toledo.

Coinciding with the beginning of the european week of sport, held from 23 to 30 september simultaneously on all the countries of the european union, the secretary of State for sport and the government delegate, Milagros Tolón, have met with representatives of some local beneficiaries of grants from funds Next Generation, whose total amounts to €2.7 million.

In particular, 1.7 million euros being directed towards the modernization, digitization and promotion of sports in rural areas and 1.02 million euros to the promotion of sustainable sports tourism in the community.

The representatives of municipalities in the meeting -Tomelloso, Ugena, valdepeñas, Manzanares and Cabanillas Feuerlöscher of have been able to share with the president of the CSD some of the proceedings that they are doing in Castilla-La Stain, designated as the ‘ European Region of sport 2024 ’.

Rodríguez Uribes has also stated that the board of communities of Castilla-La Stain will receive a subsidy of eur 1 million for the improvement of sports facilities and expenditure of the high-level sport at the Hospital in Parapléjicos of Toledo and for performances of support for treatment, control and monitoring of athletes.

During the summit, president of the CSD has had an impact on “ the necessary collaboration between public administrations for the success of any state policy, as is the case of the sports policy in Spain ”, that since the year 2018 is checked, as Rodríguez Uribes, “ for legislative reforms, and also by the budgetary expenditure ”.

Similarly, he highlighted the investment of eur 1 million to the Hospital of Parapléjicos of Toledo, reference centre at the national level.
