Rodríguez Uribes receives the Joaquín Calvo Award at CSIO Barcelona

The recognition values the work of promotion and the support of the Superior Sports Council to the Official International Jumping Contest of Barcelona, one of the most important equestrian events at national and international level.
Barcelona, October 5, 2025.- The president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, received this weekend the Joaquín Calvo Award during the celebration of the Official International Jumping Competition of Barcelona (CSIO Barcelona), one of the most important equestrian events in Spain, with more than a century of history, in addition to one of the most outstanding equestrian events in the international calendar.
Rodríguez Uribes collected the award from the hand of Marga Ferrer-Dalmau, widow of Joaquín Calvo, in recognition of the collaborative work and institutional commitment to the contest.
The award took place at the Real Club de Polo in Barcelona, during the celebration of the SM-La Reina – Freixenet Trophy Cup.
In one of the most outstanding days of the contest, the Belgian rider Gregory Wathelet was proclaimed champion. Among the Spanish competitors, Carlos Bosch signed a fourth place.
