Signing a collaboration agreement between the spanish Sports Federations of persons with disabilities and the royal federation of winter Sports
Madrid, 26 march 2019.-The president of the CSD, María José Rienda has presided today the signing of the cooperation agreement signed between the royal Spanish Federation of winter sports (RFEDI) and the spanish Sports federations of persons with physical disability (FEDF), of sports for persons with Cerebral palsy and acquired brain damage (FDEPC) and blind sports (FEDC).
The convention, initialled by José María Peus, president of the RFEDI, José Alberto Álvarez García, president of the FEDDF, Ángel Luis Gómez Blázquez, president of the FEDC and Julián Rebollo Martínez, president of the FEDPC, and which is effective for 2018-2022 olympic cycle, which may be automatically renewed for successive periods olympic and paralympic games in winter, contemplates the cooperation between the signatories federations in order to achieve together the resources available in the area of facilities, technical and material resources to optimize the costs of preparation of national teams of alpine skiing, snowboarding and nordic skiing.
In this way skiers with disabilities can access pre-temporada concentrations in the same conditions (accommodation, services, prices and tariffs) that the members of the respective national teams of RFEDI; may avail themselves in competitions of the services provided by technical Delegates RFEDI; facilitate the participation in their competitions with the option of day to avoid duplication and licensing costs. In Addition, there is also working for collaboration in areas such as the unification of the equipment and image of the various members of the united nations country team, and the removal of architectural barriers.
At the end of the signing of the convention, María José Rienda said: “ i have said the Ministro José Guirao you move that is very happy because the preliminary draft of the sport act places the utmost importance to sport with disabilities and the signature is the example of what we are promoting. Finally, Ángel Luis Gómez said that the agreement initialled today in the CSD “ is a boost to further progress in the integration, which is not so complicated.
