Three King’s Cup and Second Division matches declared high-risk

  • The State Commission Against Violence in Sport Agrees to Declare High-Risk Two Round Eight Finals of the King’s Cup that are disputed this Tuesday

12 January 2026.- The Standing Committee of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport has agreed to the declaration of high risk for the following football matches:

  • Deportivo de La Coruña – Atlético de Madrid
  • La Coruña, January 13, 2026
  • Round 8 of the King's Cup

 

  • Cultural and Sports Leonesa– Athletic de Bilbao
  • León, January 13, 2026
  • Round 8 of the King's Cup

 

  • Deportivo de La Coruña – Real Racing Club Santander
  • La Coruña, January 25, 2026
  • Second Division

 

The declaration of high risk obliges clubs to adopt additional security measures in the system of ticket sales, the separation of hobbies within sports venues and the control of access to pavilions or stadiums.  

In addition, the security forces reinforce their preventive deployments, especially with regard to the surveillance of the swellings, always in coordination with all the operators involved in the celebration of the sporting event and the protection of the attendees.
