Application Certificates (DAR and DAN)

HIGH PERFORMANCE ATHLETE (DAR)

According to article 2.3 of RD971/2007, of 13 July, on high-level and high-performance athletes, an athlete can acquire the status of high-performance athlete (DAR) if he meets any of the following requirements:

a) who have been selected by the different Spanish Sports Federations, to represent Spain in official international competitions in absolute category, in at least one of the last two years.

b) who have been selected by the different Spanish Sports Federations, to represent Spain in international official competitions in categories of lower age the absolute, in at least one of the last two years.

c) that they are athletes qualified as high-performance or equivalent by the Autonomous Communities, in accordance with their regulations. The support measures derived from this condition will be extended for a maximum period of three years, starting from the day following the date on which the Autonomous Community last published the status of high-performance athlete or equivalent, of the interested party.

d) that they are following programs supervised by the Spanish Sports Federations in the High Performance Centers recognized by the Superior Sports Council.

e) that are following technification programs supervised by the Spanish Sports Federations, included in the National Program of Sports Technification developed by the Superior Sports Council.

f) who are following technification programs supervised by the Spanish Sports Federations.

g) that are following programs supervised by the Autonomous Communities or Autonomous Sports Federations, in the Technification Centers recognized by the Superior Sports Council.

 

In the event that the athlete meets any of the aforementioned requirements, he must contact the competent body (Spanish Federation corresponding for categories a, b, d, e, or f, or the corresponding autonomous body in sports matters of his Autonomous Community for categories c or g), who will make the respective request to request to give@csd.gob.es following the established procedure (APPLICATIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED).

 

HIGH LEVEL ATHLETE (DAN)

For the recognition of HIGH LEVEL ATHLETE (DAN), the athlete must meet the criteria required in the annex of RD971/2007, according to the membership of one of the following groups. The corresponding Spanish Federation is responsible for requesting the recognition of the status of High Level Athlete through the following procedure Electronic Headquarters CSD: 991955_2025_High_Level Athlete_Rating(DAN).   1. Group A: athletes of absolute category, who participate in Olympic modalities and/or tests.
  2. Group B: athletes of absolute category, who participate in non-Olympic modalities and/or tests, defined and organized by the international federations in which the Spanish federations are integrated.
  3. Group C: athletes of categories below the absolute age (between 22 and 15 years) who participate in Olympic modalities and/or tests.
  4. Group D: athletes of categories below the absolute age (between 22 and 15 years) who participate in non-Olympic modalities and/or tests, defined and organized by the international federations in which the Spanish federations are integrated.
  5. Group E: athletes of categories below the absolute age (between 20 and 15 years) who participate in Olympic modalities and/or tests of absolute categories.
  6. Group F: athletes of categories below the absolute age (between 20 and 15 years) who participate in non-Olympic modalities and/or tests of absolute categories, defined and organized by the international federations in which the Spanish federations are integrated.

All the groups provided for in the previous section will be structured in turn, depending on the type of test in which the athlete competes, the type of performance that is valued and, in the case of non-Olympic tests, also depending on the number of countries participating in the competition. This structure is established in the annex to the Royal Decree.
