The Celtic Real Club de Vigo, Sevilla FC and Iberdrola have been some of the winners of entities in an event attended by more than 400 people.

The president of the CSD, victor Francs, has been grateful to the individuals and entities, to contribute to that sport is one of the main “ identity ” of Spain in the world.

Madrid, 22 june 2023.The secretary of State for sport and chairman of the council for sports (CSD), victor Francs, has chaired today, the delivery of the Medals and plates of the royal order of sporting merit, in an importan ceremony held in the auditorium of the national institute of physical education (INEF) in Madrid.

Carolina Marín sportsmen, Ricardo Ten, Adi Churches, Jennifer partner; the presidents of Federation Francisco Blázquez (Handball) and Gonzaga Escauriaza (Golf); and the communicator Michael Robinson head the list of gold, the highest distinction in their individual capacity of these awards.

For its part, the Celtic Real Club de Vigo, Real Murcia tennis Club 1919, Sevilla FC, Iberdrola foundation Unicaja Bank were among the entities winners of the golden plaque of the royal order of sporting merit, the maximum award addressed to organizations, institutions and private or public entities.

The president of the CSD, victor Francs, has congratulated athletes winning and value its “ commitment, demand, effort, respect, teamwork and living together ” with sport, where according to the secretary of State, “ is anything that Spain aspires to be ”.

Likewise, Frank had appreciated the individuals and entities mentioned “ to ensure that sport english will have its significance at the national and international levels, and that is one of our main identity in the world ”.

The high council of sports has brought together over 400 guests in a gala in which it has made delivery of the distinctions granted in the period 2019-2023.

The order of sporting merit is a public recognition to those who have distinguished themselves in the practice of sport, in the promotion and teaching of physical education or in research, dissemination, organization and development of physical culture and sport, regulated by royal decree 1523/1982 of 18 june, which creates the royal order of sporting merit.
