The CSD calls for grants worth 8.55 million euros for social protection in women’s and amateur football

Applications can be submitted until the next 8th of August

They aim to subsidize the cost of the fees paid to the Social Security by athletes, technicians and teams of the First Division of women's football and the First and Second Men's Football Federation in the 2024-2025 season

Madrid, July 21, 2025.- The Superior Sports Council (CSD) has convened a new round of grants to cover the costs of the public systems of protection of athletes and technical personnel of the First Division of women's football and the First and Second Men's Football Federation, as published in the Official State Gazette.

This aid, which amounts to 8,550,000 euros, is intended to subsidize the cost of the fees accrued and paid to the General Treasury of Social Security as business fees and employee fees due to the hiring of players, players and technical personnel.

Applicants must be registered in the 2024-2025 season as members of the staff of any of the teams of the indicated categories and be aware of any tax and Social Security obligations.

The amount available, from 0.5% of the revenue generated by the commercialization of the rights of exploitation of audiovisual content of the professional football competitions, will be allocated preferentially to the expenses of the participants of the First Division of women's football. The remaining amounts will go to the athletes and technicians who participate in the 1st and 2nd Federation.

Applications must be submitted between July 21 and August 8 to the Royal Spanish Football Federation, a collaborating entity, according to the models available at the CSD Electronic Headquarters.

The RFEF will subsequently transfer the documentation submitted by the applicants to the Higher Sports Council. The payment of the grants will also be made through the RFEF, which must pay the corresponding amounts directly to the player or the clubs.
