The high council of sports it awards the Dual CSD-Carrera
Madrid, 24 may 2023.-The high council of sports (CSD), in recognition of the double merit of sports and academic young sportspeople in our country, following assessment of nominations submitted by the autonomous communities for athletes schoolchildren and university age, has given the Dual CSD-Carrera Awards for the year 2022.
The award Dual CSD-Carrera athletes of school age in 2022 has been awarded to the Inés Bergua Navales, belonging to the autonomous community of Aragon. Also, in response to the high level of the candidacies submitted, the commission has decided to grant a valuation also honours the swimmer Marina García Polo, belonging to the autonomous community of Andalusia. the surfer Lucía Machado Rodríguez, belonging to the autonomous community of The Canary Islands; and the swimmer Emma Carrasco Cadens, belonging to the autonomous community of Catalonia.
The award Dual CSD-Carrera athletes in 2022 university was awarded to the player of handball Clara Gascó Arranz, belonging to the Valencian community. And, in response to the high level of the candidacies submitted, the commission has decided to grant a valuation also honours the player Martín de la Puente riobó, belonging to the autonomous community of Galicia; the skater Héctor Ten Severino, belonging to the autonomous community of Cantabria; and the player of handball Antonio Bazán Legasa, belonging to the community of navarre.
Dual CSD-Carrera Awards aim to assess the effort entailed for youngsters combining sport career with academic training, both at school and university. The recipients, who have been proposed by the 17 autonomous communities and Autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla, have highlighted between all nominations submitted by the level of excellence in both its academic records and results achieved in competitions from national and international levels.
