Anastasiya Dmytriv and Óscar Salguero are the winners of the CSD-Carrera Dual awards

With these awards, the Superior Sports Council recognizes the dual sporting and academic merit of our country’s athletes.

Madrid, May 16, 2025.- Swimmers Óscar Salguero and Anastasiya Dmytriv are the winners of the CSD-Dual Race Awards corresponding to the year 2024, with which the Superior Sports Council recognizes the double sporting and academic merit of young sportsmen and women in our country.

The winners have stood out among all the nominations submitted for their level of excellence, both in their academic records and in the results obtained in national and international competitions.

Anastasiya Dmytriv, winner in the school category

Anastasiya Dmytriv leads the category of sportsmen and women of school age.

The swimmer of the Pozuelo Swimming Club, whose candidacy was presented by the Community of Madrid, starred in an outstanding 2024 in sports, with three medals in the Paralympic Games of Paris. He won the gold medal in the 100 meters SB8 bracelet and two bronzes, in the 200 meters SM9 styles and in the mixed relay 4x100 styles.

In this category, the honorable mentions have been for Esther Fuerte (rowing), Carlota Badorrey (line hockey/ice hockey) and Daniela Suárez (artistic swimming), whose sporting and academic merits were highlighted by the Autonomous Communities of Andalusia, Catalonia and Galicia, respectively.

Óscar Salguero, winner in the university category

For its part, the CSD-Dual Career Award for university athletes has been awarded to Óscar Salguero.

In the sports field, last year the swimmer of Sabadell achieved, as main results, the second place in the test of 100 meters braza SB8 of the European Championship and the third place in the mixed relay 4x100 styles of the Paralympic Games of Paris, where he was also sixth in the 100 meters braza SB8.

In this category, the honorable mentions have been for the skater Héctor Díez, the canoeist Tania Álvarez and the halterophyll Marta García Rincón, who study their respective careers at the Universities of Cantabria, Vigo and Salamanca and whose candidacies were presented by the Autonomous Communities of Cantabria, Galicia and Castilla y León.

The Superior Sports Council awards annually the CSD-Dual Career Awards with the aim of evaluating the effort involved in combining the sports career with academic training, both at school and university level.
