The CSD announces eight postgraduate training scholarships for the Medical Center of the CAR of Madrid

Aimed at graduates in Psychology, Physiotherapy, Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Medicine

Madrid, October 30, 2025.- The Higher Sports Council (CSD) has convened eight postgraduate scholarships, aimed at graduates in Psychology, Physiotherapy, Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Medicine, as complementary training during the years 2026 and 2027 at the Sports Medicine Center of the CAR in Madrid.

The CSD has allocated 115,200 euros to the financing of these scholarships, which will provide training and experience in the Performance Control, Psychology, Physiotherapy and Medicine, Endocrinology and Nutrition Units of the Center for Sports Medicine.

It is the only center with a State character in Spain and has as its main objective not only to ensure the health of athletes, but also to contribute to improving their performance through the provision of multidisciplinary services based on the most advanced knowledge in the field of Medicine.

Located on the premises of the CAR facilities in Madrid, it has been in operation for more than 50 years.

In this center, medical-sports recognitions are made to more than 1,000 Spanish athletes each year, giving a special dedication for its location to the residents of the Joaquín Blume Residence of the Superior Sports Council.

Throughout the season, the professionals of the Sports Medicine Center also carry out tests or explorations for the control of training or the monitoring of certain pathologies, at the request of doctors and Spanish sports federations.
