The CSD calls for aid worth 900,000 euros for the promotion of associationism in football

The deadline for the submission of applications begins on Monday, July 7, and ends on July 28.

Madrid, July 4, 2025.- The Higher Sports Council (CSD) has called for aid, worth 900,000 euros, for the promotion of associationism in the field of football, as published this Friday in the Official State Gazette.

These grants, which will be granted to associations or unions of footballers, referees, technicians and physical trainers, are intended to finance the expenses incurred between 1 January 2024 and 31 July 2025 in programmes that facilitate the entry into the labour market of their associates when their dedication to football ends.

Likewise, the operating expenses of these entities are eligible.

These grants may be received by associations or trade unions that are legally constituted as a non-profit entity and whose purpose is to carry out activities directly related to the practice of football or the promotion of the social rights of their associates in this field.

In order to be eligible, they must prove the affiliation of at least 20% of federally licensed sportsmen, referees, technicians or physical trainers who participate in competitions at the state level and in the absolute category of any football specialty.

The 900,000 euros allocated to these grants come from 0.5% of the income generated by the marketing of the rights of exploitation of audiovisual contents of professional football competitions.

Applications must be submitted between 7 and 28 July through the Higher Sports Council’s Electronic Headquarters.
