CSD calls for support for research networks in Sports Sciences
Madrid, 17 March 2025.- The Higher Council of Sports (CSD) has published the call for grants for the year 2025 for the creation and dynamization of research networks in Sports Sciences, with 260,000 euros.
These grants are aimed at public and private universities, with the aim of promoting teaching and research excellence, as well as collaboration between academic institutions and the sports sector.
The total amount of this aid, amounting to EUR 260,000, is divided into two funding lines: EUR 200,000 for universities and public entities and EUR 60,000 for universities and private entities. The ceiling for each aid granted is EUR 10,000.
The Sports Sciences research networks are an initiative of the CSD, through which it seeks to promote scientific and technological development in key areas for Spanish sport, promoting synergies between research groups and generating spaces of shared innovation. All in order to position Spain in the vanguard of international knowledge.
Among the main areas of interest are: prevention and readaptation of injuries in high competition, advanced technical-tactical analysis, kinematic, physiological and tactical metrics in sport, psychological training programs, machine learning and sports performance, the influence of physical activity beneficial for health on chronic non-communicable diseases and in the prevention of occupational risks, active aging for the prevention of age dependence, new physical activity and healthy physical activity perspectives in physical education.
The deadline for submitting applications is 3 April.
Applications may be submitted electronically through the Electronic Headquarters of the Higher Sports Council.
