CSD, COE and CHANNEL sign the convention of the programme to Paris 2024

Madrid, 20 june 2023. The high council of sports (CSD), the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) and Radio Televisión Española (STUDIO), founding partners of ADO, have signed this tuesday, the cooperation agreement that will allow for 2023 and 2024 the development of ADO, support olympic spanish athletes competing in the olympic games in Paris from 26 july to 11 august 2024.

The agreement has been initialled at the seat of the CSD by Victor Francs Díaz, ADO, secretary of state for sport and president of the council of sport; Alejandro Blanco, co-chair of ADO and chairman of the Spanish Olympic Committee; and Elena Sánchez Caballero, vice-chairperson acting as ADO and studio.

With the heading of the three founders, the Plan ADO gets a renewed vigour, settled in the pillars of digitalisation, social responsibility, professionalization and new technologies.

“ the signing of this agreement confirms the commitment of the government of Spain to revitalize ADO, alongside two other founders of this programme. We Share the illusion that the spanish olympic sport can be achieved in the games of Paris 2024 the best results of its history and, through this agreement, with the backing of the business sector and civil society, we will ensure proper preparation of our sportsmen and women ”, stated Víctor Francos.

For its part, Alejandro Blanco, stated that “ following the hiatus imposed by the consequences of the pandemic of COVID-19, primarily the olympic games of Tokyo one year later, with consequent effort of the sponsors contributed economically for five years, instead of the four common, now we sign Paris 2024 in what will be a return to normality of ADO, which so many Successes had given to the spanish olympic sports ”.

The commitment that the three parties acquired earlier this year for the revitalization of the programme ADO would result in a strategic line adapted to new trends of sponsorship and with a more active role and technicians that athletes will benefit from this programme until the olympic games, Paris 2024.

In the next 13 months, the Plan ADO will provide greater visibility to enterprises and increased return based on its main assets: the values of sport and its protagonists.

The agreement this tuesday, at the seat of the CSD includes a commitment CHANNEL to design and dissemination of information campaigns in favour of the programme designed and their sponsors, as well as a financial contribution to achieve its aims and programmes.

On the programme ADO

Channel, the CSD and the COE are founding members of the Olympic Sports Association (PIPE) constituted non-profit organization in 1988 with the aim to promote and develop the practice of the competition olympic sports in spain. The ADO, many athletes have been able to develop their careers and have become global benchmark sport english in many domains.

Since that date, the three institutions have signed agreements, linked to the different olympic cycles, which have governed their contributions. The participation of CHANNEL to the programme ADO has focused historically in the production and issuance of olympic sports through their media, the dissemination of information campaigns in favour of ADO and their sponsors, and financing.
