Madrid, 19 february 2021.-The international day against LGBTI phobia in sport, the high council of sports (CSD) has launched a campaign casts value the importance of equality, tolerance and respect in the field of sport, and that shows the rejection of discrimination and stigmatization for reasons of sex or gender.
In a video published in social networks and under the hashtag # HacemosEquipo, about 20 spanish athletes, including Mapi León, Damián Quintero, or Carolina Marín, emphasize the importance of the values associated to sport, such as justice, companionship, or diversity. In this regard, he recalled that all persons who are part of the sports sector, regardless of differences, fit on It. Therefore, launch an appeal to the inclusion and respect for persons above all.
The secretary of State for sport, Irene Lozano, that also appears in the video, recalls that one of the action of the CSD is the struggle for equality in sport because “ in sports cabemos everyone, without distinctions or vetoes. The CSD is clear, and that is why we work every day in favour of equality, in favour of respect, and against any kind of discrimination ”.
