Madrid, 25 september 2024.-The president of the supreme council for sports (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, has met this wednesday with olympic sports federations, spanish and olympic paralympics not to establish the path of work at the start of the new cycle.
This first meeting opens a process of dialogue that will take place during the next six months. In this period, the CSD will establish with spanish sports federations approached individually and in groups of ten strategic areas that will guide the development of sport english in the coming years, in which the industry is called upon to continue its process of transformation and modernization.
The olympic sports federations, and not paralympics olympic in spain, which represents the association of sport English (ADESP), have at present the greatest public resources of history. For the second consecutive year, the subsidies that spanish sports federations are on the part of the CSD exceed 110 billion settling at historical highs. The number of people in Spain federated, which currently stands at more than 4.2 million, is also higher than ever.
Recognizing its importance as the economic and social sector, the strategic plan for the coming years on the development of sports programmes, in the professionalization of the federal activity and the social significance, cultural and tourist attractions of the sporting industry.

The president of the CSD has explained that Team España will be the parent project for the coming years, which will strengthen this programme, following its launch for the period 2022-2024 with an investment of eur 50 million.
