The CSD has prepared a training plan for Olympic and Paralympic teams which guarantees its preparation in any circumstance

Madrid, 01 September 2020.The High Council of sports (CSD) has prepared a training plan called “ concentrated in Tokio ” with which seeks to ensure that the preparation of Olympic and Paralympic athletes will not be paralysed before any of the possible scenarios in the coming months.
The aim is to ensure a safe environment training and sportsmen coexistence high-level so that they can continue with adequate preparation and necessary that allows them to compete in the Olympics and Paralympics Tokio 2020 in the best conditions.
This plan has nearly 800 places in the CAR that manages the High Council of sports in Madrid, Sierra Nevada and Saint Cugat, as in the rest of facilities that make up the network of centres of high performance and Technicization classified by the CSD. According To the estimate by the CSD and their own federations, sports like athletics require 50 seats, swimming over 60, or 40 for sports for the blind. Athletes accessing them would have to spend an earlier initial PCR test.
The president of the council, Irene Lozano, has transfer the content of the plan to the association of sport English (ADESP) during its Extraordinary Assembly that has taken place this afternoon in the CSD with the presence of more than 60 sports federations. “ Stop sport in March because of a virus that we did not know was completely a very harsh decision. Athletes, technical and necessary support staff (doctors, physiotherapists …) of the national teams of individual and collective sports who wish it could take this plan through their sports federations. An assessment commission created by the CSD look projects submitted by each of them and decide the order and how to access to athletes.
The regulations that apply will be to each of the autonomous communities where are located the CAR, to set the guidelines for the implementation of measures required in each place. In addition, would be activated specific health protocols depending on each sport, as well as the area of each centre: rooms, common areas and training locations.
This plan will be implemented in the coming days with inputs that can make the athletes who are moved its content and invited to make their contributions to improve and adapt it as much as possible to your needs.
A commission of assessment and monitoring composed of representatives of CSD, CAR, as well as the medical service would be responsible for establishing coordination between all those involved and ensure the correct implementation of the plan.
