The CSD launches “ the Time of the athlete ”

Madrid, 25 november 2020.The president of the supreme council for sports (CSD), Irene Lozano, has begun today “ the Time of the athlete ”, a telematic internship and a dozen or so.

This meeting will have a weekly basis and purpose is to learn first hand the needs and concerns of our athletes from all Spanish sports federations.

The current leadership of the CSD placed the high-level in the centre of its priorities in each of those aspects that affect their preparation. One of whom, the human factor, is of vital importance to the president, as it has on several occasions expressed. But the dramatic development of the pandemic has made it impossible to implement this unique formula.

“ ye are the real protagonists of the successes of sport english and therefore you have all the support of the government of Spain. You Have set an example to society for your exemplary behaviour and throughout the pandemic. The time has come to still talk face-to-face with you and listen to your wishes and concerns, ” said Irene Lozano at the beginning of this meeting.

In the present meeting, held at Madrid, have participated: Mario Mola, tricampeón triathlon world; Enric Mas, cyclist second classified in return to Spain 2018; Irene Sánchez, best spanish athlete 2,000 obstacles; Bruno Hortelano, champion of Europe of 200 m in 2016 and national record; Desireé Vila, record adapted national sport in 100-meter sprint and long jump; Juan Ayuso, champion of Spain of cycling in 2017 at the on line test and against the clock; Alfonso Cabello, six times world champion adapted and cycling champion in london 2012 paralympic and bronze in rio 2016; Eva Moral, champion of Europe of paratriatlón in 2018; Andrea Jiménez, champion of Spain of 400m outdoor and indoor track; Miriam Casillas, with 4 pódiums triathlete in World cup and participant in rio 2016; Helena Casas, cyclist bronze medal in the european championship of 2020 and Keirin first spanish rider in the podium in a World cup and Sergio Baxter, third in the spanish triathlon World Junior champion and World Junior duathlon.
