The CSD submitted to the sports federations the new protocol against sexual violence in sport

Madrid, 27 November 2020.The General director for sports, joaquín of Arístegui, has presented today at Spanish sports federations (FFDD) the new protocol against sexual violence in sport which aims to fight and contribute to the elimination of this type of social scourge in sports.
This new protocol is motivated by the need to deepen in the prevention, detection and action against sexual violence in sport, boost social awareness and move the principles of protection at all levels deportivos with a vocation of universality.
The text, which updates the 2014, establishes a procedure for action in this kind of situations more agile and simple deepens in the contents and broad the resources to prevent and act. In this sense, contains new recommendations and codes of good practices which allow protect internally and externally to all members of the FFDD before any type of situation of sexual violence.
During the presentation, Arístegui has stressed that this “ is a priority issue in which we must lead by example and be a reference. ” "The development of this protocol aims to foster greater social awareness in the protection against sexual violence in sport, an essential aspect that will allow us to connect to society in general and with the public. Moreover with this protocol make greater efforts in the protection of sportsmen, with special attention to minors", has assured.
En la consecución de este objetivo, el director General de Deportes, ha destacado la importante labor de divulgación que realizan las Federaciones Deportivas como actores fundamentales del engranaje deportivo. “Es un objetivo común de vital importancia y en función de la efectividad que consigamos tendremos mayor éxito en su cumplimiento”, ha concluido.
In the same vein, Deputy Director General of woman and Sport, barbaric Box, has said that “ the role of the FFDD is key to achieving the universalization of the protocol and achieve a great social awareness ”.
Over the coming weeks the CSD collect suggestions from the FFDD before the final version of the document.
