European Winter Sports Week 2025: a celebration of sport throughout Europe

Madrid, 20 January 2025.- The European Week of Winter Sports (SEDI 2025), supported by the European Commission and coordinated in Spain by the Higher Council of Sports, is presented as a unique opportunity to promote sport practice, inclusion and environmental sustainability.
This event, which will take place from 1 to 8 February 2025, will bring together citizens from all over Europe around winter activities designed to promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
An inclusive and sustainable event
The SEDI 2025 has been conceived as a space for the participation of people of all ages and skills, with activities ranging from skiing and snowboarding competitions to snowshoeing and educational workshops. In addition, the event underlines the importance of caring for the environment, with initiatives aimed at reducing the ecological footprint of sports activities.

SEDI promoters in Spain
The organization of the 2025 SEDI in Spain is supported by various entities, including the Higher Council of Sports, Sport for Education and Health, Natur del Siglo XXI, the Kilian Jornet Foundation, the Colegio El Catón, the Federació d’Entitats Treksionistes de Catalunya and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat. These organizations collaborate to ensure the success of the event and promote its objectives of health, inclusion and sustainability.
