Franco: “ The grant of the CSD for games of Tokyo grows 400 per cent and demonstrates the determined commitment of the Government for sport ”
Madrid, 12 july 2021.- The high council of sports (CSD) today welcomed the signing of the conventions agreed with the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) and the Spanish Paralympic Committee (SCE) to articulate the grant for each entity to cover the organization and participation of the spanish athletes in the olympic and paralympic games in Tokyo 2020. The president of the CSD, josé Manuel Franco; and the chairpersons of the COE, Alejandro White, and of the sce, Miguel Carballeda, have signed an agreement whereby the Government, through CSD, go to the COE to the participation of the spanish athletes in tokyo 4.7 million and €1.9 million euros for the Epc.

The president of the Spanish Paralympic Committee, Miguel Carballeda, has stressed “ the rapid response of the CSD trying to have the best conditions in the rarest Games in history. We have the support of the government and upload of appreciation to the medals paralympic our ”.
For Alejandro white, the signing of this convention is “ to show that the Spanish Olympic Committee, the supreme council of sport and ministry of culture and sport continue to work hand in hand to offer the best conditions to our sportspeople. ”
The allocation by the spanish government to the olympic and paralympic athletes who will compete tokyo games is the greatest vested in the history of spanish sport after Barcelona 92.
