The GTID agrees to update the health protocols for the resumption certain sports competitions in season 2020/2021
- Members of the task force to the momentum to sport have particularly appreciated the regulatory framework that has enabled the resumption safely of sporting competitions, at the same time that are committed to update every one of its protocols for further improvements for the next season
- In this sense, it has emphasized that this good management has placed Spain as one of the countries dealing with sport safe as has acknowledged the world health organization (OMS)
- Moreover, it has been agreed the creation of a collaborative platform with the Autonomous Communities involving a representation of the GTID and sports federations to coordinate together round workouts and sports competitions unprofessional
Madrid, 19 August 2020.The High Council of sports (CSD) has hosted this morning, through telematic track, a new meeting of the task force to the momentum to sport (GTID) for further developing mechanisms for the resumption of sporting competitions during the season 2020/2021 safely.
The members of the group, created in the month of April in the framework of the ministry of culture and sport and under the coordination of CSD, have agreed to make a positive assessment of the work done so far to accompany and support to athletes and competitions, first during the state of alarm, and subsequently in transit to the current new normality.
In this sense, attendees have agreed that the regulatory framework driven from the ministry of health and CSD, through the GTID, has been very useful, for what remains and fully operational. And that is, its operation, has made Spain consolidate as one of the great references in sport insurance, as has acknowledged the World health organization (OMS).
With the aim of further optimizing and implementing the content of the existing health protocols, as well as its operation to return to workouts and professional competition, it has been agreed that each organization you make an update of the same that allows the improvement in areas such as the monitoring and management of each of its competitions.
Moreover, in the line to further expand existing mechanisms of cooperation among all actors involved, it has been agreed the creation of a collaborative platform with the Autonomous Communities involving representatives of GTID and sports federations to coordinate together round workouts and sports competitions unprofessional during the next season.
In today's meeting of GTID have been present representatives of the following organizations: the association of sport English (ADESP), the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE), the Real Spanish football Federation (RFEF), the Spanish Federation of Basketball (FEBRUARY), the Real Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC), the Real Spanish Federation swimming (RFEN), the Real Spanish Federation of Motoring (RFEDA), the Real Federation Spanish Rider (RFME), the Real Spanish Federation of winter sports (RFEDI), LaLiga, ACB, the association of Spanish Footballers (AFE), the association of Basketball players (AJUB), the Spanish Confederation of business organisations (CEOE), the National Federation of entrepreneurs of sports facilities (FENID), as well as representatives of forces and Security of the state.
