It constitutes the table of sport inclusive in the High Council of sports

Madrid, 23 October 2018.- The High Council of sports has welcomed today the constitution of the table of sport inclusive, initiative that account with the representation of all sectors involved and whose objective is the development of a structured set of proceedings related to building sporting activity for the promotion of inclusion and integration in sport through sport.




The first meeting of the table of sport inclusive, has been chaired by the general director for sports of CSD, Marian Soriano and has enjoyed the greeting of the president of CSD, María José Free.




The constitution of the table of sport Inclusive reflects the commitment of the ministry of culture and sports and Higher Council of sports for the development of an attitude of respect that fosters awareness, understanding and respect for differences through sport practice.




The main objectives of this table will be the design of a road map in sport inclusive in Spain and the generation of a custom model, respecting the characteristics of all involved and with the horizon end of achieving an integrated model of sport in which accommodates all people.




Likewise, this table will develop, from the point of view comprehensive, a structured set of initiatives related to building sporting activity that promotes inclusion and integration in sport, placing special emphasis on persons with disabilities, using the existing sports organizations and charting a common path.







The composition of the first meeting of the table of sport Inclusive has been:

Near Javier Francisco – area head of entities Protected the overall direction of disability policy of the ministry of health, Welfare and Consumption




José Francisco Maldonado – general secretary of the Spanish Federation of sports for the blind




Roberto Sánchez – general secretary of the Spanish Federation of sports for the blind




Thomas Zalve – president of the Spanish Federation of people with intellectual disabilities




Jose Alvarez Approach Is president of the Spanish Federation of people with physical disabilities




Near desperate – president of the Spanish Federation of people with Cerebral palsy and Acquired Brain Injury




The composition is completed with two representatives of the autonomous communities whose appointment will take place in the next meeting of the Sectoral Commission of sport.
