The president of the supreme council for sports (CSD), José Manuel Franco, participates in mexico city in theJornadas on Policies and Planes of The protection of children and adolescents in sport, organized by the commission of the house of representatives of mexico and the Mexican Olympic Committee, in collaboration with the CSD.

The meeting, which will be developed between today and tomorrow, are aimed at pooling developments in policies, strategies and tools for the protection of children in the field of sport that have implemented Mexico, spain, Chile and Uruguay, participating countries in the meeting, in addition to other international agencies with competence in this area, such as un women or UNICEF.

In its presentation - wednesday, at 17:15h spanish time, José Manuel Franco will be placed on the prevention of violence against children and girls as a strategy of state, by stressing the importance of work for sport as a safe area and by going through the Recent government initiatives in this regard, notably the Organic Law of The Comprehensive Protection for children and adolescents from violence and the new sports act currently in parliamentary procedure.

“ In the happiness of a child and child summarizes all their other rights. And that happiness can be reached, and, through sport ”, notes the secretary of State. “ The protection of children is undoubtedly the largest and best investment we can do for the present and future of our society ”.

The workshops will conclude with a social nature, at the same chamber of deputies, which will be covered by fifty boys and girls of a school.
