José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes will assist in Sabadell the farewell to the athlete Carmen Valero

The president of the supreme council for sports (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, will this thursday, 4 january in Sabadell last goodbye to Carmen Valero, legend of athletics english.

Rodríguez Uribes referred first to condolence gathering, which will take place in the morgue de Sabadell, funeral and subsequently to be carried out in the church of Sant Félix from 17:00 hours.

Carmen Valero (Castelserás, Teruel, 1955) was the best spanish athlete of the twentieth century. In 1976 became the first spanish olympic athlete, compete in the testing of 800 and 1500 metres in the games of Montreal. Furthermore, he was champion of the world of day on two occasions, in 1976 and 1977.
