María José Free visit to the Spanish canoeists kayaking in the residence Blume of Madrid
Madrid, 24 October 2018.-La Higher Council chairperson of sports, María José Free, visited today at the canoeists concentrated in the residence Blume of Madrid preparing their upcoming competitions. Accompanied by the General Director for sports of CSD, Marian Soriano, and by the president of the Spanish Federation of Canoeing, Juan José Román Sleeves, Free les has appreciated the successes of the last World (held in Montemor, Portugal), in which the Spanish representation achieved a total of six medals: gold in K1 won by Carlos Stick; three silvers in K2 200 with Saúl Craviotto and Cristian Bull, in K2 1,000 with Paco Cubelos and Iñigo Rock, and in K4 500 with Saúl Craviotto, Cristian Bull, Marcus and Mar Rodrigo Germade; and the two bronzes in K4 1000 – Pacu Cubelos, Slash Pelayo, Rubén Millán and Iñigo Peña- and K1 5,000 with Javier Hernanz.
During the visit, the secretary of state for sport encouraged them “ to look at the corner of his eye, the classification for games of Tokio ”, to which the canoeists, in the words of Cristian Bull, have said “ of course, because they are there, much closer than you think. ”
Juan José Román sleeves, for its part, has said the chairman of CSD that all the order of these concentrations are provided with the aim of the upcoming competitions that give square to contest Tokio 2020, and it has moved the presentation of the Plan 2024 for junior canoeists and sub 23 already despuntando.
In this event held in the residence Blume have come Ekaitz Saies, Athletic Director of the Spanish Federation of canoeing, and canoeists Carlos Stick, frames abbot, Francisco Cubelos, Iñigo Rock, Slash Pelayo, Fred Vázquez, Saúl Craviotto, Cristian bull, Marcus Mar, Rodrigo Germade, Daniel abbot, Joe Oriyés, Enrique Adán and by the female team, have been Begoña Lazkano, Isabel Contreras, Sara Ouzande, Alicia Heredia and Laia Pelachs.
