Madrid, 18 September 2018.- The president of the High Council of sports, María José Free, has appeared today at their own request in the congress of Members to inform the spokespersons of the commission of culture and Sport on the general lines of government action.

In his first speech in the commission of culture and Sport of the congress since he took office as president of CSD, on 22 June, Free has claimed that his past as elite athlete, “in which I brought with me the effort, perseverance and honesty for 22 years of sport career, ” will be the values that will integrate into its leadership of the Spanish sport.




The secretary of state for sport has gone detailed agency objectives which chairs, highlighting among others, “a new regulation of sport, the promotion of physical activity and fight against sedentarism, the momentum of actions aimed at achieving gender equality and opportunities for people with and without disabilities, improving transparency and governance of organizations and the financing of sport ”.




Future Law of sport

María José Free has said that, as noted by the minister of culture and sport, Jose Guirao, one of the first actions will be the future law of sport.
