María José Free meets with Spanish sports federations in the High Council of sports

Madrid, 30 October 2018.- The president of the High Council of sports, María José Free, has met today in this body with top representatives of Spanish sports federations to detallarles lines of action which intends to carry out in what remains of 2018 and throughout the year 2019.




The secretary of state for sport has been living in what will be the key aspects of the management of CSD during the coming months at both the policy as in planning matters essential for the agency that runs.




Law of sport, priority at the policy level




Firstly, referred to the new law of sport as a priority for the coming months. In this line, has reminded us that there are already created a work desk that is preparing the draft Bill which shall be in the courts Generals. In this sense has put in value all contributions made so far, “are interesting and necessary, and now we continue. ”“ Our idea is to help provide solutions to all the problems, so the collaboration with the federations is essential, do not want to be rupturist ”, has added.



In addition, Free alluded to the need to make changes in other rules affecting the Field of sport. Above the intention of CSD proceeding to the adaptation of legislation of the Single Leave after the ruling of the Constitutional Court. In this sense it has produced a draft legislative text to its modification that has the support of the federations through ADESP and that has been sent to the sports Directorates autonomous communities.




The Royal Decree of high-level sportsmen, adaptation to European standards of the royal decree doping, as well as the momentum of mandatory insurance for sportspeople are other rules that Free explained that will also address.




Planning for the coming months




With regard to matters planned work for the coming months, the president of the High Council of sports has placed special emphasis on an action plan on gender. Free has explained that the axes of the same shall be motherhood and family conciliation and sports. The ultimate goal is to achieve “effective equality. ”“ Is essential, we have a lot to evolve ”, has assured.




Moreover, it has influenced that sport Inclusive will be another key aspects of their management. At the meeting have been present representatives of the 65 sports federations existing in Spain, of whom have spoken ten of them.




After his speech, Maria José Free has wanted to pass the floor to the president of the Association of Spanish Athletes (ADESP) and president of the Spanish Federation of triathlon, José Nobleman, who has advocated maintaining a “will of listening, collaboration and coordination ” between the High Council of sports and the organization that manages to move in sports management.
